I just found out Friday that I had mono though I have been sick for 3 weeks. The only symptoms I really have right now are being tired and pains in my stomach. Before I had really swollen glands, etc, but they have went down. The doctor put me on steroid packs for a week. Well my question is...(I don't think anyone knows for sure but I'd like some opinions): My boyfriend had mono a year ago, and as far as I know this is my first time having it. Would it be possible for me to kiss him now and him not get it again? I know the virus stays in the body for life, but I've heard when it reoccurs the symptoms aren't there. I don't know if I can go another 2 weeks without kissing him, it's already been 3, but I don't want him to end up getting really sick. When he had it the first time it didn't effect him that much though, so I'm thinking maybe it just doesn't effect his body as bad as it effects others.

apparantly, when you get mono once you are then immune to it and don't get it again. i had mono back in october last year and am still feeling ill. did you get chest pain with yours or upper back pain. i have never felt so ill in my life. just take things easy so you don't end up like me. good luck and kiss your boyfriend. he won't get it again if he has already had it.
